This policy describes the information we may collect from you or that you provide when using our mobile app or visiting rex-24.com (our “Service”) and our practices around collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.

This policy applies to information we collect:

  • Through mobile applications you download for our Service, enabling dedicated non-browser interaction between you and this Service.

Once signed up for a ReX-24 account, you can connect with other registered ReX-24 members. To provide our ReX-24 service as described in our Terms and Conditions (“ReX-24 Service” or “Service”), we must use your personal data. If you don’t want us to use all or some of this data, we cannot provide you with the Service.

We collect various information from Service users, including the following:

  • Registration details like your name, email, number, gender, birth date, preferences, photos, job, location, height, interests, and UK healthcare ID

4. App Store Data Processing

Before installing our app, you may need to agree to the app store’s terms (like Google or Apple). Our app is available on different platforms based on your operating system.

To install and use our app from these stores, you must have an account with the store operator and a compatible device like a smartphone. We have no control over personal data collection, processing or use in this respect. The store operator is the sole data controller for this information. Please contact them directly as needed about data processing. We’re the data controller regarding your personal data only when you use our ReX-24 app.

When using the app, you may get push messages from us even when not actively using it. These could contain Service messages or advertising information.

You can stop receiving push messages or adjust settings anytime by changing your device settings or in the ReX-24 app.

8. How We Share Your Information

Our goal is helping you make meaningful connections, so we share users’ information with other users of course. You choose to share profile information visible to other users. Please be careful with your info and ensure you’re comfortable with the content being visible.

If someone submits a report about you (like a Terms of Use violation), we may inform them of any actions taken because of their report.

We want you in control of your information, so here are options available to you:

  • Manage device permissions for data like photos, location, notifications
  • Uninstall our app – this does NOT delete your account
  • Close your account directly through our service

10. Legal Basis for Personal Data Processing

When obtaining your consent for lawful processing, our legal basis is point (a) of Article 6(1) of the UK GDPR.

Where Article 9(1) of the UK GDPR requires processing of special categories of data, our legal basis is point (a) of Article 9(2) – your consent.

Our legal basis is point (b) of Article 6(1) of the UK GDPR when we must process your personal data to fulfil our contractual relationship regarding Basic or Premium Membership. This also applies to required pre-contractual processing.

Point (c) of Article 6(1) of the UK GDPR provides our legal basis when processing your personal data to meet a legal obligation.

11. Basis for Data Retention

We only keep your personal information as long as legally allowed and needed for legitimate business purposes. If you stop using our services, you can close your account and your profile will no longer be visible to other users. After account closure, we’ll delete your personal information as described below:

To protect user safety and security, we implement a 3-month retention window following account closure during which we retain your information in case it’s needed to investigate unlawful or harmful conduct. We base this retention on our legitimate interest and that of potential third-party victims.

Once the retention window passes, we delete your data but keep limited information for specific purposes as outlined below:

  • We keep limited data to meet legal retention obligations – we retain transaction data for 10 years to comply with tax and accounting laws. We may also retain traffic data/logs for 1 year to meet legal obligations and keep consent records for 5 years to evidence legal compliance.
  • We keep limited information based on legitimate interest – this includes customer service records and data to support decisions, enforce rights, and defend against claims. We also keep profile data regarding potential litigation and info to prevent banned users or those under 18 from reopening accounts as needed to ensure user safety and vital interests.
  • We keep info based on legitimate interest in cases of outstanding or potential issues, claims, or disputes that require retention. This includes valid legal requests to preserve data or if the data is necessary for legal proceedings.

12. Children Under the Age of 18

Our services are restricted to those 18 or older. We do not permit individuals under 18 to use our platform. Please report any users you suspect are under 18 through the reporting mechanism on the service.

Our Service is not intended for those under 18. No one under 18 may provide any information on the Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn we have collected such information without parental consent verification, we will delete it. Please contact us if you believe we may have any information from or about someone under 18.
